Climbs and works from steel towers and wood pole structures as necessary to install, maintain and inspect transmission facilities and similar appurtenance in substations. Works from engineering drawing, sketches and specifications. Performs rigging operations for installation and removal of electrical equipment. Erects scaffolds around equipment and installs protective barriers near energized equipment. Works from manlifts, on platforms, on towers, conductors (over 100 feet high), transformers, and similar equipment. Performs surveying to establish lines and grades and utilizes various electrical instruments.
