Energize your career at Exelon!<br><br>PRIMARY PURPOSE OF POSITION<br><br>Protection of the Companys assets to include our self-insured retention of $10 Million through the execution and management of field investigations of bodily injury, property damage and company damage incidents to include high profile cases with significant monetary exposure.
#CD# Establish appropriate reserves on cases in accordance with established accounting principles.
#CD# Analyze liability and evaluate financial risk to the company in high complexity injury and large property damage losses.
#CD# Make presentations to Senior Management regarding investigations with high impact potential.
#CD# Temporarily fill in for the Manager Claims Case Management on an as needed basis.
Prepare written reports and case analysis as required.
#CD# Support the loss prevention process with analytical data.
<br><br>Note: Position may be required to work extended hours, including 24x7 coverage for storms or other energy delivery emergencies.
PRIMARY DUTIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES<br><br>*Accountability<br><br>- Perform and coordinate field investigation of property damage, bodily injury, automobile accidents, environmental and company damage incidents that involve liability issues for the company.
#CD# Respond to and coordinate the investigation of major incidents (gas explosions, fires, electrocutions) including significant company damage events on a 24-hour basis.
Meet with customers/claimants, witnesses, etc.
to obtain facts of incidents.
#CD# Evaluate damages, make liability determinations, analyze losses and where warranted develop a settlement strategy and negotiate a cost effective settlement.
#CD# Retain experts, lead and conduct site inspections with experts and company counsel.
#CD# Coordinate and manage litigation brought against the company.
<br><br>- Prepare written investigation reports, letters and other documents including discovery responses.
<br><br>- Provide 24/7 on call emergency response<br><br>- Provide educational services to internal and external constituencies.
<br><br>- Assist in the training of new E02 Claims Case Managers.
<br><br>- Serve on root cause investigation teams to provide the Claims viewpoint in these activities.
<br><br>POSITION SPECIFICATIONS<br><br>Minimum: <br><br>- Bachelors degree and minimum 5-8 years of relevant investigative, claims or insurance experience, OR in lieu of a Bachelor'#CD# s degree, minimum 9-12 years of business experience, at least 8 of which must be relevant investigative, claims or insurance experience.
<br>Preferred: <br><br>-10 years of relevant investigative, claims or insurance experience.
