Energize your career at Exelon!<br><br>PRIMARY PURPOSE OF POSITION<br><br>The Environmental Coordinator is the 24/7/365 technical POC and expert for management of local energy delivery environmental issues, with primary responsibility for environmental compliance, environmental emergency response, procedure development, local environmental awareness and information sharing.
The EC is the environmental face of the company to regulators and local energy delivery customers.
<br>The EC also provides guidance and direction for management of local industrial hygiene issues, including coordination of exposure monitoring, sharing of monitoring results and development and implementation of required written compliance programs.
<br><br><br><br>The EC achieves results through communication and strong relationships with energy delivery Operations regions/divisions.
#CD# Key activities required of the position include maintenance of established environmental programs, implementation of the utility environmental operating plan and direction of contractor activities for spill cleanups, site remediation projects, Hazwoper sites and special projects.
<br><br>Position may be required to work extended hours, including 24 x 7 coverage during storms or other energy delivery emergencies.
PRIMARY DUTIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES<br><br>- Accountability<br><br>- Provide regulatory support / guidance, coordination and direction for local operating company and applicable local regions/divisions including (but limited to): waste management, PCB, solid waste recycling , regulatory compliance and field services.
24/7 environmental field emergency response.
Initial point of contact (POC) for Federal, State and Local environmental agency inspectors.
#CD# 35<br><br>- Support development of first-level waste management and PCB policy and procedure guidance for EED businesses.
Commitment tracking, and execution of commitments.
Local trending and tracking for Key Environmental Performance Indicators.
Support implementation of environmental initiatives.
#CD# 15<br><br>- Oversight of general environmental services contractors (GESC) in field, including remediation work associated with releases of hazardous materials.
#CD# Review and processing of invoices for environmental services work.
#CD# 20<br><br>- Responsibility for local compliance with EED MSDS management, #CD# chemical control, and industrial hygiene programs.
Initial point of contact for industrial hygiene issues in region/division.
#CD# 10<br><br>- Responsibilities for SPCC plan maintenance and implementation.
#CD# 10<br><br>- Liaison with regional technical and operating personnel to craft and facilitate delivery of awareness communications.

#CD# 5<br><br>POSITION SPECIFICATIONS<br><br>Minimum: <br><br>- B.
in environmental science, or technical field and 5-8 years experience in utility environment or in EH &#CD# S field or minimum 10 years field experience in utility environment.
