Energize your career at Exelon!<br><br><br>PRIMARY PURPOSE OF POSITION<br></p><br><p class="MsoNormal" style="MARGIN:0in 0in 0pt;"><font face=""arial", sans-serif"><font size="3">The Principal Regulatory Analysis will lead multiple workstreams within the Regulatory Analysis team including the development of policy testimony in PHI�s distribution base rate cases. Must be able to fulfill ad hoc requests from various internal and external sources to support decision-making and provide necessary insight to executives, managers, and department heads. Individual must be flexible, proactive and able to work with ambiguity. </font></font></p><br><p style="MARGIN-BOTTOM:0px;MARGIN-TOP:0px;"><br> </p><br><p style="MARGIN-BOTTOM:0px;MARGIN-TOP:0px;">- Act as project manager for regulatory filings, audits and/or special projects. The function is to plan, coordinate, recommend and support strategies for timely development of filings and responding to informational and audit requests<br><br>- Perform research and analysis of accounting, tax and financial issues associated with regulatory matters and preparation of executive level presentation materials as necessary<br><br>- Apply critical analytical skills in the preparation of regulatory filings or strategic analysis including the drafting of testimony and required schedules, responses to discovery (data) requests of regulators and external parties, and contributing to the development of filings and briefs related to revenue requirements<br><br>- Monitor regulatory hearings, proceedings and meetings.  Analyze impacts and communicate findings to departments and other impacted Exelon operating groups<br>Position may be required to work extended hours, including 24 x 7 coverage during storms or other emergencies<br><br><br> PRIMARY DUTIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES<br><br>- Act as project manager for regulatory filings, audits and/or special projects.   Plan, coordinate and manage the implementation of the assigned filing, audit or project.  This includes recommendations to appropriate management and other departments in the development of filings and positions on, and responses to, information requests.  Manage activities of the regulatory and multifunctional staff as assigned<br><br>- Perform accounting, tax, financial, economic and other quantitative and qualitative analyses of regulatory matters.   Responsibilities include research, analysis, coordination with finance, accounting. legal and other departments, monitoring and the preparation of appropriate written and oral reports for management<br><br>- Coordinate and provide quality assurance in the preparation or drafting of written testimony, regulatory schedules, special regulatory audits and post-filing implementation requirement activities<br><br>- Participate in and/or monitor regulatory hearings, proceedings and meetings. Analyze impacts on the company and prepare appropriate reports to management identifying issues and suggesting appropriate actions to address issues raised by commission decisions and rule making.  Communicate relevant information to regulatory departments and other Exelon departments effected by the regulatory issues<br><br>- Promote and maintain regular relationships with state regulatory agency staff pertaining to the areas of ratemaking, economics and audit<br><br><br>POSITION SPECIFICATIONS<br><br>Minimum: <br><br>- Bachelors Degree in Business, Economics, Finance, Accounting or Engineering<br><br>- Experience is typically career level (8-10 years) in Accounting, Finance or related field<br><br>- Excellent written and oral communication skills are essential<br><br>- Commitment to highest standards of quality and integrity<br><br>- Possess a high degree of complex problem solving with solid financial, mathematical and analytical capabilities<br><br>- Demonstrated competencies in 1) accountability, 2) collaboration, 3) continuous learning and 4) high performance in ambiguous situations<br><br>- Exhibit professionalism and stay current on industry proceedings and professional development<br><br>- Demonstrated ability to effectively manage cross functional teams<br><br><br>Preferred: <br><br>- Advanced degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, Economics CPA<br><br>- Ten or more years of electric utility experience with five or more years experience with regulatory filings<br><br></p><br><p class="MsoNormal" style="MARGIN:0in 0in 0pt;"><font face=""arial", sans-serif"><font size="3"><br>- Financial modeling skills and Financial, Planning & Analysis experience preferred</font></font></p><br><p class="MsoNormal" style="MARGIN:0in 0in 0pt;"><font face="Calibri"> </font></p><br><p class="MsoNormal" style="MARGIN:0in 0in 0pt;"><font face=""arial", sans-serif"><font size="3">- Exposure to accounting principles, financial metrics and financial statement relationships</font></font></p><br><p class="MsoListParagraph" style="MARGIN:0in 0in 0pt;"><font face="Calibri"> </font></p><br><p class="MsoNormal" style="MARGIN:0in 0in 0pt;"><font face=""arial", sans-serif"><font size="3">-</font></font><font face="Calibri"> </font><font face=""arial", sans-serif"><font size="3">Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word, Microsoft Powerpoint, Hyperion, SAP, other financial systems</font></font></p><br><p style="MARGIN-BOTTOM:0px;MARGIN-TOP:0px;"><br><br><br> </p>
