Equipment Operator Class - Clinton, ILEquipment Operator Class - Clinton, ILGP0|#036d7cad-49e3-4a98-8821-efa704301d6d L0|#0036d7cad-49e3-4a98-8821-efa704301d6d|Exelon Generation GTSet|#bb697efb-4d63-4298-b4d0-ab279caf3fe8GP0|#30287584-2103-44da-bc36-62983b1cfe42 L0|#030287584-2103-44da-bc36-62983b1cfe42|Clinton Power Station GTSet|#e70f62ad-35ba-4371-ba87-92cfd51534bf GPP|#4d7c9375-bd40-43e0-94d5-223c43d19da5FalseFalseGP0|#6094434b-4f61-4542-8334-1ac1c98b9e7c L0|#06094434b-4f61-4542-8334-1ac1c98b9e7c|Production/Operations GTSet|#7712b39a-721e-4406-b3c9-bfbaaf3b9a98205899https://exeloncorp.taleo.net/careersection/exelon_external/jobdetail.ftl?job=205899, https://exeloncorp.taleo.net/careersection/exelon_external/jobdetail.ftl?job=205899<p style="MARGIN-BOTTOM:0px;MARGIN-TOP:0px;">Exelon is currently looking for Equipment Operators at our Clinton Nuclear Power Station, located in Clinton, IL.   <strong>Start date is January 2018. </strong> </p><br><p style="MARGIN-BOTTOM:0px;MARGIN-TOP:0px;"> </p><br><p style="MARGIN-BOTTOM:0px;MARGIN-TOP:0px;"> </p><br><p style="MARGIN-BOTTOM:0px;MARGIN-TOP:0px;">Typical examples of duties are:<br>To observe, inspect, and as instructed, operate such generating station auxiliary equipment as pumps, fans, air compressors, and heat exchangers. <br>To inspect and make necessary adjustment on gland seal pressures on main turbine generator units. <br>To make routine checks of various equipment in water and steam. <br>To inspect and reset relays in auxiliary power centers in the event of automatic trip-out of any auxiliary equipment. <br>To operate auxiliary equipment manually when remote control equipment is not connected to the main control panel, or during abnormal conditions. <br>To assist as required in performing initial troubleshooting work on control circuit, auxiliary switches, tripping devices on circuit breakers, and level controllers. <br>To perform manual switching in auxiliary power centers for all routine maintenance or emergency repairs to electrical equipment. <br>To check the operation of feed water heaters and other secondary plant equipment such as station heating, ventilating and cooling systems. <br>To inspect auxiliary power transformers, switchgear, and batteries by checking the temperature of equipment, oil levels in transformers, acid levels in batteries; and to record specific gravity readings and charge batteries as required. <br>To operate the water treatment system, involving such work as adjusting feed of chemical feed pumps, preparing chemicals for feed tanks and make-up pretreatment, checking levels in storage tanks, adjusting rates of flow, recording of chemicals used and water meter readings, and making field checks on water samples as assigned. <br>To operate oil cleaning and transfer equipment, including checking all levels in reservoirs, back flushing oil coolers, and periodically taking oil samples. <br>To inspect brushes on main generator field rings on various motor generator sets; and to check exciter bearings. <br>To replace gas cylinders (e. g. hydrogen, nitrogen) on headers; to check the operation of the hydrogen unit gas dryer. <br>To maintain cleanliness of equipment and working area. <br>To assist in controlling the operation of reactor-turbine generator units by receiving and executing orders from station operators, observing control instruments, and reading meters. To observe, inspect and operate reactor, turbine and other station equipment outside of the control room (including starting, stopping and preparing equipment for maintenance). <br>To perform electrical operating and switching outside the control room, such as operating disconnects, circuit breakers, and grounding buses; and to take circuits and equipment in and out of service. <br>To instruct and train, and to coordinate the work of others. <br></p>
