Energize your career at Exelon!<br><br>PRIMARY PURPOSE OF POSITION<br>Regulatory Strategies<br><br>Identify, evaluate and analyze business and strategic issues that are impacted by the state and federal regulatory and legislative environment. Develop quantitative and/or qualitative analyses to formulate comprehensive business plans in support of executive management decision-making. Act as an integral expert resource in working with other ComEd personnel to achieve favorable resolution of issues. Provide consultation to other functional areas within the Company to ensure actions are consistent with long-term strategies and are in compliance with current regulation. Cultivate and maintain effective working relationships with the ICC staff and other parties. Position may be required to work extended hours, including 24 x 7 coverage during storms or other energy delivery emergencies. <br><br> PRIMARY DUTIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES<br>Regulatory Strategies<br><br>- Regulatory issue management and case development, including: <br><br>- Provision of guidance and recommendations to other areas of the Company regarding regulatory processes, policies and the strategies to be implemented in all proceedings and business activities. <br><br>- Work with other departments and outside parties to develop filings and resolve any issues raised by outside parties. <br><br>- Review filings and proposals with ICC Staff and other parties. <br><br>- Review, evaluate, prepare and present expert written and verbal testimony. <br><br>- Analyze, prepare and review responses to data requests to ensure consistency in theme and content. <br><br>- Drive case management for substantive resolution of issues. <br><br>- Monitor outstanding dockets and litigation for progress. <br><br>- Regulatory research and strategic analysis, including: <br><br>- Identify, analyze, develop and recommend business and regulatory positions to senior management on issues concerning legislative and regulatory matters. <br><br>- Perform quantitative and qualitative analysis of regulatory matters, including the identification of, and research and reporting on, key strategic regulatory issues for consumption by senior management#CD# scenario analysis#CD# risk assessment#CD# and modeling of corporate financial impacts. <br><br>- Maintain knowledge base on state, national and industry regulatory and legislative policies and issues. <br><br>POSITION SPECIFICATIONS<br><br>Minimum: <br><br>- BS or BA degree required. <br><br>-8-10 years relevant experience with a minimum of five years working for a utility or in a regulated environment closely aligned with the utility business. <br><br>- Highly effective interpersonal skills and the ability to easily work with people both inside and outside of the company. <br><br>- Excellent oral and written communication skills. <br><br>- Ability to provide direction, advice, and guidance on all regulatory matters pertinent to other areas of the company. <br><br>- Basic knowledge and understanding of the electric utility industry and current issues relevant to it. <br><br>- Extensive knowledge of the company, and an understanding of corporate and regulatory strategy. ?<br><br>- Broad understanding of Company strategy and business practices, the workings of the wholesale and retail electricity markets as well as the federal and Illinois regulatory policies. <br><br>- Must possess knowledge of the Illinois Public Utilities Act and the Illinois Administrative Code applicable to electric utilities. <br><br>- Strong leadership skills to provide functional direction, guidance, and support to peers. <br><br>- Strong working knowledge of PC word processing and spreadsheet applications. <br><br>- Requires overnight travel to Springfield, IL about once a month. <br>Preferred: <br><br>- Advanced degree in Business, Economics or financial disciplines<br>
