Energize your career at Exelon!<br><br>PRIMARY PURPOSE OF POSITION <br>Develop external communications plans and strategies.
Support corporate, executive and BSC communications, and overall external communications for PECO.
Serve as a strategic advisor to senior leadership and as primary spokesman for the organization.
Serve as brand and reputation ambassador for PECO, Responsible for writing, design and production services whenever needed and for leadership, team management and coordination across Exelon Utilities.
This position reports to the Director, Utility Communications and represents the director in their absence.
Perform other duties as assigned in support of external and, on occasion, internal communications initiatives.
PRIMARY DUTIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES <br>1.
Serve as the company�s chief spokesperson.
Create and maintain solid relationships with local media and key stakeholders.
Manage crisis communications, issue management and emergency response communications, providing 24-hour availability to executives and news media.
Oversee advertising campaigns, driving awareness of energy efficiency programs, innovative technologies, customer tools, safety initiatives, low-income programs, community support, environmental stewardship and overall brand and reputation.
Develop, manage and implement integrated communications plans supporting company objectives and targeting a variety of diverse audiences through earned media, paid media, direct communications, web, social media, and employee communications.
Support and coordinate the development of collateral materials (newsletters, presentations, videos, letter, text, email, phone, bill insert, publications, etc.
) to drive awareness of key initiatives and customer programs.
Support high profile events that help position PECO, the City of Philadelphia and local region.
Manage a variety of communication tasks to support leadership, including talking points, short presentations, online messages and speeches and remarks.
Develop, train, mentor and provide oversight to two (2) direct reports.
Participate in training and performance reviews.
Serve as the company�s lead in engaging with Exelon�s utilities to drive best practice implementation.
Participate on cross-utility project teams </p><br><p style="MARGIN-BOTTOM:0px;MARGIN-TOP:0px;">7.
Manage vendor/agency relationships in the development of collateral, and the execution of projects including associated budgets and decision-making.
<br><br>POSITION SPECIFICATIONS <br>� Proven, excellent communications skills � both written and interpersonal.
</p><br><p style="MARGIN-BOTTOM:0px;MARGIN-TOP:0px;">� Demonstrated strategic thinking and project management skills.
</p><br><p style="MARGIN-BOTTOM:0px;MARGIN-TOP:0px;">� Masters degree in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, Advertising, or related field; 8-10 years� experience in strategic communications, agency management and media relations.
</p><br><p style="MARGIN-BOTTOM:0px;MARGIN-TOP:0px;">� Energy business/industry knowledge.
