​​​​​​​​I served in the United States Navy for 11 years prior to joining Exelon. I currently hold a Senior Reactor Operator license and am qualified Shift Manager. In my free time I enjoy golfing and spending time with family and friends.​

Tell us about your job at Exelon.

I am a Shift Manager at Peach Bottom Atomic Power Station. I oversee the day to day operation of the nuclear power plant. My team consists of 4 senior reactor operators, 5 reactor operators and 11 non-licensed operators. We also have radiation protection, chemistry and instrument control technicians assigned to the shift.

What made you want to work for Exelon?

What do you like most about working for Exelon?

Nuclear Power is a safe and clean source of energy for our country. I am proud to work for a company that leads the nuclear industry in the safe and reliable operation of their power plants. My coworkers at Peach Bottom are always willing to assist you and they do it in a way that promotes teamwork while always maintaining safety at its highest level.

A Day in the Life

6:00 AM
I work a rotating 12 hour shift schedule that runs from 6:00 AM – 6:00 PM or vice versa. The shift is a 35 day cycle that runs 4 nights, 3 days, 3 nights, 4 days, 5 days in training coupled with days off in-between. It’s a challenging schedule but I enjoy being a part of the shift team. The shift involves various testing and maintenance on our nuclear safety and support systems. I also attend several meetings throughout the shift along with overseeing the work my team is supporting.

I begin to head home and will look ahead to the next day.
