Philadelphia Road Generating Station

Philadelphia Road Generating Station

Philadelphia Road Generating Station is owned and operated by Exelon Power, a business unit of Exelon Generation. It is a four unit, 61 megawatt fossil power plant located in Baltimore, Maryland.

The units at Philadelphia Road are fueled by oil and are used as needed for peak demand periods.  Philadelphia Road joined Exelon Power’s fleet in 2012 through Exelon’s merger with Constellation.

Emergency Planning

All Exelon facilities employ sophisticated emergency response plans to protect public health and safety. These plans are reviewed and approved by state governments and regulatory agencies. The emergency planning includes coordination with local counties, municipalities and school districts.

Supporting the Local Economy

Philadelphia Road pays local real estate taxes every year to support county and township government, area schools, libraries, park districts and other taxing bodies.
