Water, water everywhere! Located just five miles south of Pennsylvania’s border, the Conowingo hydroelectric station along the Lower Susquehanna River provides reliable electricity to the Philadelphia region.

This exhibit encourages students to explore how electricity is generated at the Conowingo facility. Students can see footage of the Susquehanna River rolling through the dam, a brief introductory video about the hydroelectric facility and footage of the fish lift that Exelon operates to help American Shad migrate up the Susquehanna River. |
