Each year “Fishing for a Cure” raises money for a local charity selected by employees. The charity must have a connection to a Braidwood employee and the local community. Exelon puts up the prize money and pays the cost of staging the event, allowing 100% of the money raised through boat entries and raffles to go directly to the charity. In its first 11 years, “Fishing for a Cure” has raised nearly $250,000 for charity.

Fishing for a Cure 2013 is sold out.
For those registered, the tournament will commence from the Braidwood Lake South Ramp. The gates open and registration begins at 4:30 a.m. There will be a mandatory safety briefing for all partcipants at 6 a.m. The tournament will start at approximately 6:30 a.m.
Receipt of entry forms and start positions will be confirmed via email by April, 30, 2013.
