Braidwood's Fishing for a Cure

This year’s tournament proceeds will benefit Wounded Heroes Foundation, Inc. Wounded Heroes Foundation, Inc., a non-profit organization, was founded to provide needed support to the men and women of this great nation that sacrifice their lives for the good of their country. Wounded Heroes Foundation provides care packages to our injured men and women of the armed forces. In addition, Wounded Heroes Foundation, through charitable contributions, provides financial and other assistance in situations where the military is not equipped or unable to assist.

The 2010 “Fishing for a Cure” tournament sold out (100 boats) for the first time ever and raised a record $28,000 for Operation MOMS Cookie, Inc. and deployed American Troops. The tournament sold out in just five weeks.

“It’s great that our charity tournament will benefit men and women who were wounded while serving our country,” said Braidwood Site Vice President Dan Enright. “I can’t think of a more deserving cause. We are looking forward to a day filled with fun, camaraderie and competitive fishing.”
