Limerick Unit 1 Returns to Service 

 Exelon’s Limerick Generating Station Unit 1 returned to full power at approximately 5 p.m EDT today following replacement and testing of an electrical transformer.   

 

POTTSTOWN, PA — Exelon’s Limerick Generating Station Unit 1 returned to full power at approximately 5 p.m EDT today following replacement and testing of an electrical transformer. 

Limerick Generating Station is 21 miles northwest of Philadelphia. With both units at full power, the site can produce enough carbon-free electricity for approximately 2 million homes.
