MARSEILLES, Ill. (June 25, 2009) - Exelon Nuclear's LaSalle County Generating Station is a proud sponsor of the Marseilles Fun Days fireworks show, which will take place at dusk Sunday, June 28.
"We are very proud of the Marseilles Fun Days and especially our fireworks," said festival committee member Laurie Trager. "Each year this event continues to grow in popularity. We rely on sponsors like LaSalle Station to assist in this endeavor."
"We are excited to be part of this great festival again. Exelon Nuclear continues to provide safe, clean and reliable nuclear energy to the homes and business across LaSalle County and Northern Illinois," added LaSalle Station Site Vice President Dave Wozniak. "We are honored to help light up the LaSalle County sky and encourage all local residents to attend this fireworks display."
LaSalle Station is a proud member of the community. In 2009, the station has already donated more than $30,000 to community, environmental, educational and recreational activities in the local communities. LaSalle Station is located approximately 75 miles southwest of Chicago. With both units at full power, the station can produce enough electricity for 2.3 million homes.
