Three Mile Island Supports Big Brothers Big Sisters of Lancaster County

Twenty Three Mile Island employees participated in a Bowl For Kids” sake event on March 7 to support Big Brothers Big Sisters of Lancaster County.  The event was held at Clearview Lanes in Mount Joy.

 

 

LONDONDERRY TOWNSHIP, Pa. (March 19, 2009) - Twenty Three Mile Island employees participated in a Bowl For Kids" sake event on March 7 to support Big Brothers Big Sisters of Lancaster County.  The event was held at Clearview Lanes in Mount Joy.

As part of the fundraising effort, each bowler was required to raise $60 for Big Brothers Big Sisters.  TMI employees exceeded that amount and together raised around $2000.  Exelon Nuclear, the owner of Three Mile Island, made a $2500 corporate donation for a total contribution of $4500.

"Three Mile Island has been very active in our Bowl For Kids' Sake event over the past three years and we are grateful for that," said Cheri Crounse, Event Coordinator for Big Brothers Big Sisters of Lancaster County.  "This demonstrates their involvement and commitment to the local community."

"This is another example of the active participation in the community by our employees at Three Mile Island," said Bill Noll, Site Vice President, Three Mile Island.  "Many of our people live in Lancaster County and we are happy to support Big Brothers Big Sisters."
