Dan Enright Named Site Vice President For Byron Generating Station

Dan Enright has been named site vice president at Byron Generating Station, the company announced Monday. Enright, a resident of Ottawa, will oversee all aspects of plant operations at Byron Station.

 

BYRON, Ill. (Feb. 19, 2009) -Dan Enright has been named site vice president at Byron Generating Station, the company announced Monday. Enright, a resident of Ottawa, will oversee all aspects of plant operations at Byron Station.

Dave Hoots, of St. Charles, has been Byron's site vice president since 2006. Hoots will take on a new role as a loaned executive at the Institute of Nuclear Power Operators (INPO) in Atlanta. INPO is a nonprofit corporation established by the nuclear utility industry to promote the highest levels of safety and reliability-to promote excellence-in the operation of nuclear electric generating plants.
In his role at INPO, Hoots will be able to share his diverse experience with the industry and gain insight for how other utilities operate.

Enright will team with Brad Adams, plant manager at Byron Station. Enright has more than 25 years of experience in the nuclear power industry, including time spent at Exelon Nuclear's LaSalle County Generating Station. Most recently, he was the site vice president at LaSalle Station in Marseilles, Ill.

Enright holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Illinois and a Master of Business Administration from Lewis University.

"Dan's extensive nuclear experience, particularly in operations and work management is an asset to the entire Exelon Nuclear organization. His knowledge and leadership will help continue the safe and reliable operation of Byron Station," said Stephen Kuczynski, Exelon senior vice president Midwest Operations. "I know that Dan will maintain a focus on continuous improvement at Byron as well as sustaining relationships with the local community."
