Exelon Nuclear Provides Annual Emergency Brochures to Local Residents
All residents and businesses within the 10-mile radius of Byron Generating Station have been mailed a 2010 Public Information Emergency Brochure that provides residents with general emergency information.
BYRON, Ill. – All residents and businesses within the 10-mile radius of Byron Generating Station have been mailed a 2010 Public Information Emergency Brochure that provides residents with general emergency information.
The brochure contains information about general emergency preparedness, including: reception center locations, evacuation routes, a map and a listing of emergency alert broadcast stations. In addition, the brochure includes a special needs card to be completed and returned by people who may have a special transportation or other need.
Exelon Nuclear and its nuclear power stations work with state, county and local emergency management officials in the development, maintenance, training and testing of emergency response plans.
Residents should read and keep the brochure for future reference. Anyone within the 10-mile radius of Byron who did not receive a brochure in the mail may download a copy at: www.exeloncorp.com/byron.
