Exelon Launches Enhanced Corporate Web Site Featuring Fresh Content, Improved User Experience
Engaging site redesign focuses on five areas of importance to Exelon
CHICAGO -- Exelon reinforces its corporate vision and environmental commitment in its new and improved corporate Web site at www.exeloncorp.com. The site now features easy-to-use navigation tools and fresher, more focused content about Exelon and its family of companies.
“Our new site tells a more comprehensive and complete story about Exelon – what we do, who we are, what we are committed to, and how we perform,” said Laura Duda, vice president of communications for Exelon. “For example, given Exelon’s focus on environmental leadership, we now have an entire section devoted to the efforts being made across the corporation, including our support for climate legislation and updates on Exelon 2020, our business and environmental strategy to eliminate the equivalent of our 2001 carbon footprint by 2020.”
The site’s content focuses on five key areas of importance to Exelon: energy, environment, community, people & culture, and performance.
Energy: This section includes an overview of Exelon’s generation, delivery, transmission and marketing operations, including profiles of its more than 30 power plants and two utilities.
Environment: Visitors can find details on Exelon 2020 or learn more about how Exelon is addressing climate change through Exelon 2020 in this section. Also available is the company’s corporate environmental policy, background on its environment-related partnerships and affiliations, and key data describing the company’s impact on land, water, air and biodiversity.
Community: Given Exelon’s commitment to be a responsible corporate citizen, the Community section shares its efforts to improve the quality of life in the areas it serves. It includes information on sponsorships, volunteerism, public safety, and giving and grants. The site also breaks out Exelon’s impact on the six primary states where it does business directly or through its operating companies – ComEd, PECO, Exelon Generation (Nuclear and Power) and Exelon Transmission.
People & Culture: Prospective employees can access lists of open company positions and gain a sense of what it is like to work for Exelon. The section also includes an overview of the corporate structure, leadership bios, profiles of employees, and benefits of working at Exelon. It also features Exelon’s commitment to diversity and inclusion, as well as high ethical standards.
Performance: This section highlights Exelon’s recent financial, operational and environmental performance, which will be updated quarterly. Also available is information on Exelon’s growth strategy and the company’s views on various aspects of national energy policy.
The new design provides shortcuts on the homepage, such as Investors and Careers, to give users direct access to some of the most commonly searched information on the site. The Newsroom now features a new Downloads page that allows users to quickly access the latest fact sheets and photos, as well as a mechanism to filter press releases by company, location, topic, theme, type or year. Visitors can also sign up for news feeds and e-mail alerts for financial information.
