 Clinton Station Returns to Service 

 Operators at Clinton Power Station returned to service at 6:33 p.m. following the completion of a maintenance outage. The unit was taken offline at approximately 5:30 a.m. on Thursday, Oct. 15. 

 

CLINTON, Ill. (Oct. 26, 2009) – Operators at Clinton Power Station returned to service at
6:33 p.m. following the completion of a maintenance outage. The unit was taken offline at approximately 5:30 a.m. on Thursday, Oct. 15.

Plant personnel completed the required repairs, including the replacement of the recirculation pump motor.  Additionally, workers performed preventative maintenance activities while the unit was offline.

Clinton Power Station is located approximately six miles east of Clinton. The plant can produce approximately 1,065 net megawatts of electricity.
