 Doyle Beneby named Senior Vice President, Exelon Power 

 Doyle N. Beneby, of Glen Mills, Pa., has been named senior vice president, Exelon Power and senior vice president, Exelon Generation, Christopher M. Crane, president and chief operating officer of Exelon Corp. and chief operating officer.

KENNETT SQUARE, Pa. - (March 10, 2009) Doyle N. Beneby, of Glen Mills, Pa., has been named senior vice president, Exelon Power and senior vice president, Exelon Generation, Christopher M. Crane, president and chief operating officer of Exelon Corp. and chief operating officer of Exelon Generation, announced today.

Beneby replaces Mark Schiavoni, who is departing Exelon for Arizona Public Service where he will lead APS’ fossil energy business. Beneby will report to Crane.

Crane said, "Mark has been the top leader for Exelon Power since 2004, overseeing improved fleet commercial availability in multiple merchant markets. We wish him well with the next chapter of his career. I know Doyle will capitalize on this success to help Exelon Power meet its vision of being the most competitive and reliable power generator in the U.S."

Beneby was most recently Vice President, Operations for Exelon Power. He will be responsible for the operations of about 8,000 MW of natural gas, coal and hydroelectric generation in five states.

These changes are effective March 27.
