Exelon Announces Key Promotion in Finance Organization
JaCee M. Burnes to assume expanded role as vice president of treasury operations and assistant treasurer.
CHICAGO (Feb. 10, 2010) – Exelon today announced that JaCee M. Burnes, 39, has been promoted to vice president of treasury operations and assistant treasurer. The appointment takes effect immediately.
A 15-year veteran of the energy industry, Burnes in her new role will be responsible for Exelon’s cash management, liquidity, credit analysis and treasury planning activities. She also will oversee the company’s rating agency relationships and serve as treasury liaison between Exelon and the corporate and investment banking community. Burnes will report to Chaka Patterson, Exelon vice president and treasurer.
“JaCee plays a number of critical roles within the finance organization,” Patterson said. “This promotion is in recognition of her leadership, skill and dedication to helping Exelon exercise financial discipline and maintain financial flexibility. We are proud to recognize JaCee with this promotion to vice president of treasury operations.”
Since joining Exelon in 2003, Burnes has held positions of increasing responsibility within the finance organization, serving most recently as director of treasury operations and assistant treasurer. Prior to that, she held positions as director, capital markets; director, investor relations; and chief of staff to the CFO.
Before joining Exelon, Burnes worked at Credit Suisse, and prior to that, Southern Company. She earned a master’s degree in business administration with a concentration in finance from the McCombs School of Business at the University of Texas at Austin and a bachelor’s degree in industrial management from the Georgia Institute of Technology in Atlanta.
