Exelon Generation’s LaSalle County Generating Station declared an Unusual Event at 3:11 p.m. CT today, after both units automatically shut down when power from the switchyard into the site was interrupted during a severe thunderstorm.

Local Economy Benefits from Nuclear Refuel Outage
More than 2,000 highly trained technical workers will arrive at Quad Cities Generating Station this week to assist station personnel with the facility’s scheduled Unit 1 refuel outage that began earlier today. This is the 22nd refueling outage for Unit 1.
