Contribution Guidelines

Exelon invests in organizations that support education, the environment, arts and culture, and neighborhood development programs, which demonstrate a proven track record in addressing key community needs. We fund programs that can deliver measurable results for sustainable improvements in the communities in which we serve and operate our business.

  • Energy for Education programs that encourage students to stay in school and develop their full potential, promote math and science, improve workforce skills, and encourage personal development through scholarships, mentoring and internships.
  • Energy for the Environment programs that improve the quality of our environment, promote environmental education, conservation and preservation; develop cleaner sources of energy; protect endangered species; and beautify neighborhoods.
  • Energy for Arts & Culture cultural institutions with broad public exposure and programs designed to make arts and culture more accessible to a wider audience.
  • Energy for Neighborhood Development local civic organizations and involvement on not-for-profit community boards.

Exelon Corporation is one of the nation’s largest electric utilities with approximately $19 billion in annual revenues. We distribute electricity to approximately 5.4 million customers in Northern Illinois (ComEd) and Southeastern Pennsylvania (PECO), and gas to 485,000 customers in the Philadelphia area (PECO). In addition, for energy delivery Exelon’s operations include energy generation and power marketing.

Giving Guidelines
It is Exelon’s policy to award only one grant to any given institution within a 12-month period. The company does not fund general operating expenses for nonprofit organizations.

At any time, you may discuss your project with an Exelon Corporate Relations staff member. Please e-mail us at Exelon Contributions. Please include in the subject line: REQUEST FOR DISCUSSION-Organization Name, and e-mail us your contact information and a brief summary of the project. Grant proposals sent within the email will not be considered.
