actEnroll in Smart Returns

ComEd Smart Returns is a “load response” program that pays business customers financial incentives for reducing their electricity usage during times of high wholesale electricity prices when requested by ComEd.

The incentives earned in Smart Returns are in addition to the savings participants see from reducing their energy use in the first place. It all adds up to a great bottom line.

For many businesses, participating in a load response program can be as easy as dimming the lights, setting thermostats higher in the summer, and shutting down unused office equipment – things not readily evident to employees or customers and things that don’t normally impact productivity.

If you are a non-residential customer located within ComEd’s service territory (whether you receive your electric supply from ComEd or not) and have the potential to reduce electric usage when requested to do so, you may qualify to participate in a Smart Returns program.
